Hi all,

I'm new to this whole making money online and have been working to set up websites, be a part of forums, writing journals, etc. I'm just wondering how much time it usually takes. I'm finding that there are millions of people all trying to do the same thing I'm just starting! Plus they have much more experience. Any good advice?

Cheers,
Ryan

I think it all depends on the products you are promoting and the time and effort you put forth. There are a lot of great ways to make money online, but its not easy finding the right course of action. :)

I agree with Forum Admin 2!

It all depends on you! The more effort you put into making the most original and updated content, you will get sales! :)

Hi,
what I read on the net is that it takes 6 month to get the hang of it, and another 6 to earn around a $100/day, and if you continue learning, and applying it then you build a residual income that is more than you have thought of. Really, you need to stick trough the first 12 months, and see very little money for a while. Two good programs to start with are My Online Income System by Kimberley Hoffman, and PotPieGirl's One Week Marketing Action Plan, 2 step by step programs that tell you what to do each day. I started with the 2 because I believe that they are complementing each other well. :D Roseanne

That's about right... I went through both of those programs before, and I agree they are the best together! :)

Just try to find the best way to market your business or whatever you are promoting and as long as you put the work into it, you should see the best results sooner than later. There is and will be a lot more suggestions within this forum on how to better your business and make money online as we get more and more members.

Good luck with everything! :)

In general, it all depends on how much time you put in and how hard you are willing to work. For example, my online income system is a 60 day program but if you have the time, you can go though the entire thing in a week and begin making money within 2 weeks. There are some people out there who actually begin making a $100 dollars a day in as short of a period of time as a month. Its plain and simple; its up to you how much money you want to make and how soon you want to start making it :)

Its all about how much effort you put in. Im following the 60 day guide in the My Online Income System and i believe it really would work. I would say, at the speed Im working, in about 4 months or so I would be earning some income.

I think the speed at which things happen differ for everyone. It all depends on what you're promoting, how you're promoting it, how much time you spend promoting it, etc. I believe though that if you don't give up, even when you think you're never going to make it in the online business world, you will eventually succeed.

Your right Megan. Its all about pursuing your what you are seeking in this venture. Internet marketing is a hugh field of learning with so many different opportunites that one can take to become a success. One key is to find the niche you are interested in and take it to the next level. This all takes time and effort. If you are willing to put these 2 traits together, success will come your way:)

Im on my fifth or sixth day of actually working on the program but on my 27th day of the action plan. At this point as people who are furthur along know, recently Ive created a lens on squidoo and Ive written about 4 or 5 articles and joined a few forums. Depending on how much time you have you can go at the pace you want. Now I'm beginning to see that what program is detailing makes a lot of sense. Hopefully soon, the sense will be making a lot of dollars.

You need to make sure you go at your own pace. If you try to hurry through any course that you join, you will end up missing valuable information. Don't rush the learning experience:)

Just knowing that with any program online, it may not be an overnight success - it all takes work, but as long as you are willing and able you will succeed. :)

hey, just wondering how long youv'e been at it and how much computer and internet experience you had prior to beginning? I'm one of those that was in a completely different industry that did not utilize the computer daily so I am way behind on some basic stuff. Was your experience standard? Advanced? I've talked to many people that have come to the industry through necessity not choice. Just looking for some realistic time and money answers. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

My motto is you see it when you believe it. I need to go slow, my sons have been complaining already about the time I spend on the computer. I'm in it since 3 months, didn't see a dime yet but I know it will come eventually. The products I'm promoting are all good products. Since I'm not American, I've not gotten yet the hang of marketing language, and I'm also missing out on colloquialisms. On the other hand, I'm more matter of fact, British enclined under-statements work better for me as a person. Perhaps you've got some good piece of advice on how to improve that.

I agree that it depends on the person, as well as the method being used. Sometimes it depends on how much money you have, and the amount of time available definitely makes an impact. Also, it's important to find a process that works for you and that you believe in. I think the best advice is not to have any expectations as far as how much time it will take, because you never know what life will hand to you as you work towards your goals. Good luck to you!

Hello, I have been reading in on the 60 day plan and I'm up to day 30 in about 5 days. I have done other things online and they surely do not give the step by step like this program does. I now have 2 websites and I'm getting very little traffic with no sales yet, but at least there is a little traffic. The only thing that worries me about websites is so many others are using the same website as I am just with a different intro. Should iI do more Lens, and stuff like that to make money faster? How are all of you doing and how long has it taken you to see one sale?

Thanks for your help...I need it!

I couldn't agree more with the people who already mentioned this.
In reality, it takes as long as you want it to take. It depends on how
much effort and work you are willing to put into it. The rest will follow.

Time and effort is the key in building your success. You are able to build as many lenses, blogs, UsFreeAds, to promote your products. After you get the feel of how affiliate marketing works, branch out to make multiple sites.

Don't forget to link all of your same niches to your other existing sites to create the backlinks and traffic.:)

I agree that affiliate marketing takes time, effort, dedication, and a positive attitude. I truly believe that a positive attitude makes everything in life turn out better. Good luck to everyone!:)

It really depends of the person. The more work you put into your websites, advertising, & products the better you will do. Remember to always have good keywords, and post your website everywhere.

With this business there really can never be enough. You can always do more. That is the beauty of it. Either writing more articles, creating more blogs and lenses, ads, etc. There is always paid advertising too. :)

I absolutely agree. These are the two products I am using and promoting! The action plans included in both make building your business so much easier.

Wow good for you Andrea!! Just a tip- this happens to majority of us when submitting an article to ezine, it may get rejected the first time. But this is okay if this happens. Just fix what they are requesting and resubmit. It will not take any longer after you resubmit it again.

Just wanted to give you a heads up so that you will not be discouraged if this happens. But since you have been already doing such a great job I am sure it will go through with flying colors:)

If you are speaking of MOIS2 it is all about becoming a vendor and selling your own products and building a website. :)

KitKat
06-23-2009, 06:06 PM
My Online Income System 2 is a great addition to the course ~ but really... don't try to jump ahead to that or you might be lost. Like Mod 1 said... it is all about becoming a vendor or publisher... and also learning paid advertising while using the free stuff you've learned in MOIS 1!

Hope this helps clarify! :D

like everyone has said, It takes time and effort. Im almost done with the porgram and havent made a sell yet but im getting more and more traffic and just trying to figure out what method works best for me. Just stay dedicated and try to focus on one area before trying multi methods. perfect what you know first.
