Forum marketing is still very popular as we all know and can be very beneficial, not only for making sales, but building your brand (meaning YOU and your business). :D

I got this on my facebook page today from Justin Brooke who is a great internet marketer and has a great blog over at SiteFling.com. Anyway... here it is:

DO THIS:

Post at least 5 answers to random strangers questions in your niche by finding a forum related to your topic. Inside that forum find people asking questions you can answer but no one else has. Make sure you have a link to your website in your signature box so they can click it to find out more if they like your answers.

Cool, huh? :D

I agree that Forum Marketing is a great and best of all FREE way to get exposure to your sites. The more Niche related forums that you can find to post on the better for you. I spend a good bit of my time posting, answering questions, and making general comments on various forums as well as other people's Blogs related to my niche.

It WORKS, and it works better than a lot of paid advertising methods in my opinion.

Your right Jennifer! It does work and magic word is "free". There are a lot of people who tend to forget this great marketing technique. :)

Another good way is to go to Yahoo Answers. You can genuinely answer a question and leave a link to your blog or website - it's also free! :)

I love the Yahoo Answers way too. It is really quick and fun to give your opinion to people here. Yahoo is one of the highest ranked search engines that people use, so you can get a lot of exposure just by utilizing this.

Your right Jennifer, it ranks with Alexa at a 4. Within the US it is a 3.:)

Yahoo Answers can be a good one too... I did that for a while and kind of stopped, but might try going at it again at some point. :D

I just thought that I would share this. I have been answering a lot of questions on Yahoo Answers recently, because it seems to drive quite a bit of traffic and helps get your site listed in the search engines. I posted an answer to a question and bam, about 10 minutes later, it was already showing up in the search engines.

However, I just recently had an answer deleted and an email sent to me about it being because of spam. I had to write them back to appeal it. The person was asking about legitimate work at home ideas, so I wrote a very detailed, long, genuine, and honest answer to her question about options of Affiliate Marketing, Dropshipping, E-Bay, Blogging, etc. I did not put any links in the body of the answer, however I did put my blog links in the resource area. After all, I this is what this box is for.

I get the e-mail about it being deleted due to spam. How can this be spam, if you are not directing the reader to any particular link.

Its sad that someone would report that. It could be they were looking for an easier way out to make money online. I too do not see how this be considered spam. I would be interested to see what turns up with the appeal on how they came to this conclusion.

I appreciate you sharing your experience with us Jennifer :)

I second that - it doesn't sound like spam at all especially when you didn't put any links in the body of the post. Keep us posted on what they say.

Thanks, Paul! That means a lot! I love the Woo Themes! I am not wasting any more time on the free ones... way too many bugs that need to be worked out... the functionality of them is well.... mediocre to say the least. I can laugh about it now, but believe me I wasn't back then! LOL
