What are your affiliate goals for 2009? Even internet marketing goals in general? :)

I have a ton of goals both sort and long term. In general I try to double my previous months income and have been relatively successful over the past 3 months. My long term goal is by Sept 2010 to be able to have the option of walking away from my job and have my online activities be my main income.

Those are great goals, TSF! I am hoping not to have to go back to work "outside" ever again!

My current goal is to finish the Wealthy Affiliate Action Plan and then become one! Also, to write an ebook this summer via joint venture with an amazing internet marketer!

Of course dabbling in a few other little things, I am sure.... :D :D :D

Setting short and long term goals can be very rewarding. When making these goals, remember to plan projects that you can achieve in some way so you do not set your self up for failure. As these goals are obtained, the long term goals are more challenging to reach your success rate, but are also obtainable. This line of business takes time and effort to build. With these two traits one can achieve anything they set their mind too.:)

My main goal is to actually make this affiliate marketing work well for me. I work full time outside the home, but dedicate as much time as possible right now to marketing. Just starting out a few weeks ago so I have a ways to go.

Jpiper,

We have a lot of members who are starting part time. But soon you will notice that things will come together and start really making sense. Just keep going at your own pace and ask questions for better clarification:)

Here recently I have just made it a goal to pick up a new product to promote every 30 days or so. That way I really focus on the product I am promoting at the time and really push myself to see the products potential. If the product makes some good sales then I will hang on to it but if it is dissapointing then I will move on to the next one.

Good idea Gridellas - it is important to get to know your product as well as you can and own it. :)

Well, I have made two sales so far , yay! And each one was a week apart-the last two wednesdays, so if this trend continues, I should make a sale today :) My goal is to keep this once a week consistent and move it to twice or three times a week. Then (and right now I really can't see this far into the future, lol) maybe once a day!

I'm a multiple streams of income kind of person mainly because I got caught in the economy before I could not get there in my previous profession. I ended up with nothing. This time the goal is to build affiliate marketing to $100 a day and then article marketing to $100 a day and then build eBay to at least $100 day and finally to build my own website that offers loads of information on comparative health issues. Sounds like a lot but based on how much I've learned in the last 6 weeks I think that my learning curce my will almost double every month. That means my online income will as well.
Anyone with advice on how to speed up the learning curve?
Take Care

Everyone learns differently. My suggestion would be to keep reading as much as possible learning all techniques that others offer and continue to utlize them towards all of your sites.

You sound like you have your goals set. Stay focused and you will succeed.:)

Staying focused is key. You want to really understand all the different aspects before moving on. If you miss things in the process it will delay you further. :)

I'm a bit slow with everything. I work 19 h/week, have my children, and my husband, and many social things to take care of. I do the best I can, and my goal is to finish the two courses that I started - MOIS and OWM - that work well for me.

My main goal for affiliate marketing is to at least double my present income (which honestly is not a whole lot--less than $2000 per month), in addition to getting off public aid (i.e. food stamps and Medicaid). I want to be able to move away from working outside of my home and focus more on being a mother to my children and provide better for them. Being a substitute teacher and teacher's aide, I will have this summer break to really concentrate on making progress--hopefully arriving at my goal and exceeding it!

Just found this topic and thought it will only be appropriate to share.
My goals for 2009 are to FINALLY quit my job for good and focus on
only working from home. Another will be creating my own product by
the end of the year. Who knows, some of you might even be promoting
it later on :)

I would like to be able to say that I have specific goals. I'm aware that I need them. Sometimes I'm a bit paralyzed because I lack them. I like Grindellas idea to stick to a product for a while , and see if the campaingn is profitable. Anybody else?

That is the whole concept about affiliate marketing. You will be using trial and error until you find what is the right niche you would like to concentrate more on. Stick to a few products until you get comfortable with yoru marketing and then venture out into other avenues.:)

Have you checked the content of what is being presented? Is it appealing? Does it grab the reader?

These are just few things to look at:)

You should ask yourself if you would actually buy the product you are promoting or selling. Make sure that you have a strong call to action and targeted keywords.

I am inspired by the clarity of your goals. I've been following action plans very enthusiastically, but I need to sit down and outline some long-term goals.

Thanks for reminding me to think about when I want to generate certain specific results!

It is important to come up with goals so that you have a sense of accomplishment. You need that kind of thing in this business. :)

Not sure when you started internet marketing, but you may or may not know what your goals are or should be right away... it takes some time. But hey.... start with the short term and take baby steps ~ I am sure you will do great!

Let us know if you have any questions! Best of luck to you! :D

Hey Kitkat,

Thanks for starting this great topic, it's good to stop
and focus on what we really want to accomplish in
this business.

My short term goal is to spend at least 3 hrs per day
M-F working on my business. This will allow me to build
2 - 3 blogs per week promoting real products.

My what I call a mid-way goal is to have 50 blogs
built in the next six months. I look at each blog to
make on the average $30 - $40 per month. That
will create around $1500 - $2000 per month at
the six month mark.

My long term goal is to have 100 - 125 blogs built by
June 2010. Using the same formula above that will give
me a $3000 - $4000 per month income. In reality though
It will be more. Just keeping everything in a very perspective.

By this time next year I will be very close to a 4 figure
per-week income. That will be over $50,000 per year
working from home.

Then I will just do it all again!!! :)

I also look at it like this. What if I just do half as well
as I expect. Well it will still be around a $25,000 a year
income. That is still not to bad...LOL

Internet marketing is a m***ive space of opportunities. But to make the sales you have to continue with the traffic. This is all done by promoting. If you do not promote, you will not see the sales. Your site will just sit there. Provide the traffic and sales will come:)

It is a good idea to stick with one thing until you become an expert at it and this way it keeps your focus toward one product until you get the hang of things and can add more. :)

Forum Admin 2
07-02-2009, 04:28 AM
Once you gain that experience and become to feel more confident start adding another product until you reach your desired goal. This is how you will build your business to the level that you want to maintain :)
