Hi out there. I too am a newbie at this - just joined up today. I am a "down-sized" newspaper industry casualty and have turned to the internet (and going back to school) to pursue making a living doing something I enjoy. I'm open to any ideas you might have regarding affiliate marketing and building traffic - what to look for, and what to look out for. I don't have a website yet, but hope to soon. Thanks for any advice!

Hi Austy3,
Welcome aboard! Congratulations on taking the first steps to finding a living that you will love to wake up to every morning! As for traffic there are a lot of great free methods, that I am sure you will soon learn. Some of them include Twitter, article marketing, ads, press releases, social bookmarking, posting in forums and many more.
If you have specific questions feel free to PM me!

Welcome to the forum Austy!!
You will learn a lot in a short period of time. The key is to go at your own pace and let it all sink in. If you don't give yourself time to absorb all the information, you may become overwhelmed. Please use the forum if you have any questions or concerns. We have some great members who are willing to share their knowledge and experiences with you to help you in building a successful business.
You will find that as you post, members will provide great feedback. Some will make sense and others will not. It is how we all learn differently and are able to understand the concept being talked about. I find this to be a great ***et of forums:)

We have been all there where you are now, just take it step-by-step, and find a good reliable affiliate training course for beginners that can guide you, and give you structure. We are all here to help if we can, all with different levels of knowledge, and experience, so don't hesitate to ask. You can also send me a PM!
