Personally the biggest benefit in its inclusion is to make the life of affiliates slightly easier instead of having to go to CB main website and search for the product in order to generate a hop link.

It saves us alot of time if its included.

I just recently started learning more about this, it sounds pretty interesting
and correctly me if I'm wrong, but this looks a bit like google adsense you
would put up on your website or blog, with the exception that you are redirecting
people to the products you are promoting and possibly making a sale on those
products, not just getting paid for PPC? right?

The general idea you have there volybal3 is right but the way you put it on your website will appear different from google adsense. Usually it be better if you write about the product like a review or something rather than like the google adsense where they are just there appearing purely and fully like an advert waiting for you to click on.

But yes the general comparison you got there is correct to an extent.
