As mentioned, this is learning process that will help you be able to gain knowledge in all areas of affiliate marketing. You will find that you prefer some techniques over others, which is fine. Use those to your advantage. There is a lot of information out on the internet. Pick and choose wisely on what you would like to learn and use to build your business:)

To me, the important things are that you stay patient with whatever you choose to do, be on the watch for scams, and find something you like to do or would like to learn more about. There are people who seem to get into their fortunes relatively quickly, and you might be one of them. However, don't take that for granted.

Being a little nervous is natural at first. Things will become more familiar to you soon. Do not become discouraged because there may be times when you think you are doing something wrong but actually you're not. Just keep trying something different until you find the right product or avenue to take.

If there was one piece of advice I would give you when it comes to making
money online, it will be this:

be patient, this is not a get rich over night scheme, wealth is built over time
not over night, so take your time, do your homework, and take aggressive and
persisten action. visit places like this forum when you start to get frustrated, there
is tons of people who are willing to help.

Make sure to get your website out there. The more people see your website's ads or links, the more they think of you. Write tons of articles and post messages in forums.

I agree with what everyone has said. I can recommend the two programs I have used to learn about affiliate marketing: My Online Income System and One Week Marketing.
