Hello all,
I am about two weeks into the MIOS step by step plan and am feeling overwhelmed with all the things I need to be doing to get going. Is this a normal phase of getting involved or do I need to back track and start over. Any tips will be appreciated.

You have to remember with any course that it can be overwhelming when first starting something that is a bit unknown. Internet marketing has a big field of different ways of marketing and evenutally you will use the techniques that you learn to venture out and try new things.
The best thing to do is take a step back and let things sink in. If still not sure of what is taking place, reread to get a better understanding. Sometimes we miss details so it is always good to go back.
Eventually things will click into place as you start implementing your marketing strategies.
Hope this helps. If you have any questions regarding MOIS itself, please use the other forum to direct your questions to.:)

kdeasta, I was, and am feeling the same way a little about the whole affiliate marketing thing....but it's starting to get exciting because of all the new things I'm learning just going from here to there on the internet. I think affiliate marketing is a great way to make an income, we just have to stick with it!

Things will start to click and become second nature. The nice thing is that you will still be learning new things every day. :)

I agree. I went through the same thing when I was doing that course. The big thing that I found that helped me, was to just take it one day at a time. If you feel like you're doing too much in a day, slow it down. You don't have to do more than one days work in one day. I ended up doing that for a bit and it didn't help me at all.
I know the anticipation of making money is building, but try to be patient with the course and just listen to the instructions it gives you and you'll be fine!
Hope this helps

Thanks Phil! Your words are very encouraging. The articles I've written so far actually center around planning, research and more planning.....slow and steady. I'm in it for good now!

I just started MOIS on May 17th and today May 22 I got my first sale. It will happen. I've followed all the steps so far and I'm starting to see the results. Just keep following the system and it will work. Go at your own pace though. :)

I've said it before, you have to sometimes walk away and look at things with fresh eyes - otherwise you will get overwhelmed and be on information overload. Everyone seems to be working really hard - keep up the good work! :)

Yeah I remember feeling a little bit anxious about the process but I kept at it. I'm personally not seeing any hard evidence as of yet but Im still confident because all of the material makes sense. I just finished my sophomore year in college and I have never had a summer job. You can imagine that I have a lot of time to dedicate to this program and I sure do. I've been working everyday for the past 6 day on this program and Im now on my '27th day' of the action plan. Although I havent made any sales, I can just see the formulation of something special so.. .keep it at it.

It sometimes takes a while, but I am sure that with the time and dedication you are putting into it you will see results sooner than later. Just make sure you give yourself some breaks in between! :)

I feel a lot less overwhelmed now. I'm getting through the material and it's making sense to me. You know what I do? I make sure I do these few things everyday, spend a certain amount of time on them: write a new article, make forum posts, add to/make new squidoo lens, etc.....devote say the entire morning to these things, then don't go back to them in the afternoon. Devote that time to something else. It helps me a lot to have structure.

Thats a great way to do it Michele. It gives you time to let the information sink in and steers you away from becoming easily overwhelmed. Thank you for sharing:)

Yea it is perfectly fine to work at your pace. Everyone has a different situation. Im just glad that the program has been proven by people before me so I know if I work hard, I should get it to work.

AWeber has so many benefits. You can create broadcast emails to your list and you can schedule it to go whenever you want! You could be sleeping or on vacation and it will go and you don't have to worry about it.
You can create your opt-in forms there as well. Lots of things! Very highly recommended ~ it is said to be one of the most reliable out there...
Good luck with whatever you choose to you! :D

I am one of those people who needs to have the steps layed out so that I can utilize them to be able to understand the concepts of it all.
One of the major things I had learned is to take whatever course you invest in at your own pace;)

I think the feeling of being overwhelmed is natural when learning anything new. There is so much information! Just take your time and things will come together very soon. Good luck!:)

Seriously? That's great. Wondering if you would share what day you are on and tell us how much experience you had going into this. Maybe some pointers? Many times I almost gave up because it seemed that I would never make money. There is just so much to learn. I you tell me you already know how to use a computer well and have been on the internet forever and that you know some html I would feel a lot better about my slow progress.
Thanks

I am taking my time going through the action plan. Im on day 28. I am really trying to master each technique before I more to the next. Really been concentrating on Squidoo & Ezine pretty much all this week. Probably start the blogs this weekend. I thought I was pretty good with the computer and internet, but I have found out that there was alot I didnt know! I am not feeling overwhelmed now that I am focusing on one task at a time. I dont think its wise to move to quickly. Just my opinion! Good luck & dont be afraid to ask for help!

It is always better to go at your own pace. Only we know what our limits are and overloads. Take you time and learn as you go.:)
Also please remember, if you have any MOIS questions. please direct them to the other forum where we will be able to help you further.

It is best to take your time and master one area before moving on. Make sure that you understand and then move on to the next thing. :)

All the internet jargon about done me in when I first started. But if you keep asking questions as you go, it makes more sense. This is another key goal as you are learning about the internet marketing business. Keep asking questions until you receive the one that makes sense. That is why forums are so great. Members provide different outlooks which makes it easier to grasp for some of us with learning disablities. Thank goodness;)

I feel the same way right now, BUT it is all coming together slowly. I just feel like there is so much information that when I am finished I need to re-read everything so I can make sure everything I have spent so much time on will be correct. Hang in there!

That is the best way to go krisner. Most of the time we miss some information because we did not fully understand it while we are reading. When you do re read, you will find missed information and the areas that you were unsure of will click in and make sense.:)

The beauty of MOIS is that it's a step-by-step process, and I feel that's a great feature because you only need to focus on one step at a time. Even though there are 60 days' worth of items to complete, the important thing is that you don't get overwhelmed with the ones you've not done yet. Even if you choose to do more than one step in a day, just keep your mind on the one you're doing right now.
I hope this helps, and the best of luck to you!

Hey there,
I think I speak for everyone who has tried MOIS when I say that it is very easy to get
frustrated and overwhelmed because we want to start earning money almost immediately.
Remember that you are starting something new, something you probably know little or nothing about. Think of this as your favorite subject in school, the one you love learning about, and even look ahead in the book because you want to learn more. Remember that it is not until you take an exam and get a good grade because of all the hard work you put into it that you'll get your reward.
Just keep at it, don't quit, and keep a positive attitude.
Best of luck,

Always remember that different people join the MOIS program coming from different levels of exposure to internet marketing. So know which level your coming from and pace yourself out with the daily lesson plans accordingly.
If you have knowledge or exposure before many lessons are actually very simple and you can then cover 4-5days of lessons in 1 session. But on days where readings are involved and you feel overwhelm slow down and do 1 lesson a day.
Remember you are in control here and as long as you feel your moving forward each day its a good sign already. Don't get too ambitious and lose yourself in the process else it be more wasteful to have to go back and redo certain lessons again just because you were lose in the motion of things.
Remeber hardships are always preludes to better things. Bitter Sweet hence you have to get thru the bitter part in order to tase the sweetness after.

Regardless of the program you are using, either be MOIS or something else, I think people start to get overwhelmed because there is a lot of material they have to learn before they start seeing results. Remember that you are learning something new and the learning process does not happen overnight. I would advice you to learn as much as possible, apply it, and keep at it with a persisten effort. The rest will take care of itself. Best of luck.

Actually it is. There is alot of information thrown at you all at once. The best thing to do is step back and take a breather. This always clears the mind and lets the information sink in before adding more to it. Just a suggestion:)

It is overwhelming because you are actually starting a business of your own and not many people realize it or it doesn't click for a while. That in itself can be overwhelming, but at the same time ~ really exciting! Just try to stay focused on your plan of action or whatever one you are following and you will do great! :D

It's best to work at a pace that you can handle. You don't want to take on too much at once or you may miss or overlook some valuable information. :)

It is not unheard of to have to go over things to make sure that you understand them. That goes with any course you are taking to learn the ropes. :)
