Would anyone recommend Facebook?

I was on my facebook account the other day and I thought I might try to get some traffic from there if I could. I went to the marketplace that they have on there and I set up a small, free ad for my website. In about 2 days I've had over 40 people look at it.

Any suggestions? Has anyone else tried this kind of thing?

I wasn't aware that Facebook had free advertising. Maybe you can shed some more light on this for our members. :)

Hi Phil...I didn't know FB had free ads either....I looked into it, but couldn't really afford it at this time....maybe I missed something? I did create a page for my business though and I login and send regular updates to it's "fans"....or post a status so it shows up on fans' pages, and it's on my profile. I personally do not use Facebook, but I did come across this link. Is this what you are talking about Phil?
