I was just reading on Pot Pie Girl's site that it's best not to market what she calls "make money online" products. She feels that many of the people who would buy these products already have clickbank accounts and will replace your hoplink with theirs, citing that she'd seen such things happen with her own affiliate products.

Do you agree that it's a bad idea to market such products? Why or why not?

Thanks in advance for your comments!

That is why we use cloaked links now with clickbank. I have been promoting "make money online' products for a year now and have had no problems with my sales. This is just my input;)

It is good now that Clickbank is cloaking now, but you can also use a link cloaker. I usually use tinyurl, but there are others like offto.net and many others.

Hope this helps ease your mind! I think that PPG wrote that before they started with their cloaker. :D

I have had a lot of people recommend that you explore other Niches besides the IM relm, and I agree with that 100% however I really like marketing Online programs and feel that it is still a very profitable market.

I also agree might be better off in another niche but I do believe marketed properly there is still plenty of money to be made here. I think cloaking has been a great ***et. I use a cloaking site as well.

I don't think it hurts to dabble a bit in making money online niche or others. You learn more about each one which in turn really go hand in hand somewhat. You still want to make money, so you can use the same methods just promoting to a specific crowd. :)

Thank you for all the input. The cloaking thing is something new to me; I appreciate it that you brought it up.

Can you tell me the procedure involved in cloaking? I may have missed something in this forum that gives us suggestions if so can you direct me to the correct link. Thanks

They are talking about using other sites that will cloak your link for you. These two are pretty popular, tinyurl.com, and offtonet.com. Go check them out and see if you like them. There are also many others if you do a search for them;)

Sweetestmiracle has shared two that seem to be the most popular in these forums. :)

I think in everything we do in life there are always going to be pros and cons. Yes hopads swapping is going to an enemy of all affiliates but our common goal or market as affiliates are not each other but more of the general public out there who have not joined us in this league yet.

So for them they would not be so exposed into such techniques as yet but yes when they do get smarter they just might. However, clickbank has noticed this trend and got better by using cloaking technology. You can do so too by using hyperlinks instead of typing out the actual hopad link in your post.

When we meet with an obstacle we have to try and work around it since obstacles would not move by itself once its there so we maneouvre around it then ourselves.
