Learning about running an online business may seem confusing and complicated with
the many things you have to deal with. I mean, SEO, advertising, marketing, products, etc... The main reason why an online business seems so confusing is because it is new to most people who give it a try.

What are you really good at? Are you good at your job? Your hobby? Being a parent? Being good at something gives you the confidence to make decisions that less experienced people might shy away from. If you are parent, you probably go about your daily routine as if it were nothing. But to someone who isn't a parent, your tasks might seem overwhelming, difficult, or even impossible at times. It can get very frustrating.

If you tried to teach me how to do a skill that you excel at, do you think I could? Yes! Maybe not as well as you at first - or ever - but I can learn from you and you can teach me.

So I know how to personally profit from an online business, as well as how to teach other to make money online. That's why it is so important to share and learn, because you never know what you might learn just by simply talking with someone who is doing the same thing you are doing. Ignore the comments from people who know nothing about an online business. You need to listen and learn from the people who are successful in the area you are interested in. Think... "If they can do it, I can too!"

Learning how to start an online business requires time. The good news is that many people are willing to help and tell you exactly how to do it. Even better, they can show you shortcuts to help you get started right away and avoid the mistakes they might have made when they were starting. This is were you can really "learn from other people's mistakes". Remember, you don't have to learn everything from scratch like many of us did. You'll be using my proven, time-tested methods, and people will literally walk you through every step. All you need to do is have the desire to learn.

All the knowledge you need to get started is right here. The only way you can fail is by not taking action

Nice post volybal3. My phrase is not so elegant but goes something like this. "Find a person who has what you want and do what they do." This includes asking many questions and being open to things that might not make sense or seem "right" in your mind. After all, they have something that you don't, so your "right" may not be correct.
Changing our thinking can be the most difficult thing to do. It takes time but can be done...if you choose.

Great posts you two.

Learning is asking, after asking is preforming the tasks. With these two connected provides you with using your visual and tactile senses for better understanding of gaining more knowledge and processing the information for better retainment. Well for me that is :)

I have to admit that I am a little bit of an old biddy myself and one that doesn't really like change very much. Pretty much set in my ways and was not very teachable I am afraid to admit.

When I decided that I would start working online and make money out of it I found that the only way I could do it (a) to start becoming teachable very quickly, and (b) was to concentrate on things that I am p***ionate about. The hardest part was learning how to do it all (and there where some very frustrating days I tell ya!)

I could never have got half as far as I have got without the help of these forums. I pick up little bits of advice here and there (even if I didnt even ask the question) and its all helping me to make my online business work.

So a very big thanks to you all.

Its great that you can pinpoint these things and see the times when it can be beneficial to go outside the box and be a little uncomfortable but in the end learn new skills. To many people will not get the desired results and they want to blame the system or some outside force instead of taking the bull by the horns.

I have a problem with staying focused and that is also a major problem in this business. I have had to take major steps to make myself stay on track and now it is like second nature.

Best,
