View Full Version : Slow And Steady Wins The Race!

I'm sure you have probably heard that saying before... "slow and steady wins the race". In my opinion, this is the kind of mentality any beginner to the world of affiliate marketing must adopt.

Many people who start out with affiliate marketing are looking for an easy fix, something that can make them $$$ and then make them some more $$$. Well, though this is very possible to do with affiliate marketing... guess what? It does not happen overnight. It happens overtime.

Regardless of what the many sales pages for all of these money making products online may say, just like anything else, you need a solid foundation before you become good at it. If you know absolutely nothing about affiliate marketing, then you are going to have to educate yourself in that area.

I think this is some of the biggest misconception with affiliate marketing. The fact that people EXPECT immediate results, yet they are not ready to learn or willing to do the work. When they realize that those immediate results are not coming, they throw their hands in the air and say... "this is just another scam, this doesn't work".

Slow and steady wins the race... if you are willing to learn and actually put in all your effort in that, learning and then applying that knowledge, overtime you will be successful.

Keep at it, and all good will come your way. Be truthful and all good will come to you. There is a thing called Karma, you better believe it is real.

Best of luck to all.

I agree, great post. This is a marithon not a sprint! Taking your time on the front end to learn and soak it all in will save you time down the road.

Ditto! It's difficult at times to not focus on the money, but it's necessary if we are to build a solid business. I gave myself one year. No matter what amount I am making at that point, I will still be further ahead than I am right now. I can't even imagine where I will be in five years! My goal is retired or very close to it.

words of wisdom Volybal!

I am traveling along the affiliate marketing journey and taking baby steps along the way. My problem is that I keep thinking ... have i done this right. A lot of the time I keep going back double checking myself and its purely because I don't know enough yet. So I learn a bit and apply it ... rinse wring and wash again :)

I guess i just wish I had someone standing next to me saying ... yip .. you got it kid its right! :)

I am sure you are doing it the right way Ziggy-Zoo. Baby stepping is a great way to start when learning something new. Before to long it will make more sense on the process you are working on and it will all come together. Hang in there and keep washing and rinsing the techniques that you are learning :)

Thanks for the vote of confidence there! :) If anything I am learning from my mistakes. And as they say life is like school ... everyday you learn something new. I struggle with something for ages and then suddenly it just all fits into place - kind of like a ah-ha moment 20 times a day :)
