I thought i'd share my views on generating traffic to websites...

To get hits on your website you can either use google adwords which can cost a bit as you will be bidding against the big boys in the marketplace. The best solution which I have found to work is offer something for free.
For example you can create a website that provides free information (a blog style) on a certain topic, remember the information you provide must be current and regularly updated to keep visitors coming back. These visitors in turn tell their friends/family about your website and you generate extra visitors.

Now the key here is how are you going to make money from this, as we all need to live. The website will need to have adverts (you can use adsense ads) which will be present in prominent positions on your website, when a visitor clicks these ads you get paid!!!
