Hi All,
Does anyone use mail Chimp to build lists? Or even better, has anyone used both Mail Chimp and Aweber and have a comparison between the too?

I had a friend turn me on to mail chimp and its great. It is free to build a list up to 100 people and send up to 550 emails through it. Once your list reaches over 100 people, it is no longer free however it is a good way to learn list building and not have to initially pay for it! The site has an auto responder and and a email form to capture emails and add them to your lists.

Cheers,

TSF

Great information TSF! I have not used or heard of this one. Whats valuable is the free email for up to 100 people. This will help those who are justing starting out building their list.

Are you trying it currently? What is your thought on using it and have you reached the limit? If so, is the price compariable to Aweber? :)

That is some good information there TSF - thank you for sharing with us.

I do believe that AWeber and GetResponse are about the same if I am not mistaken. About $19.00 a month. Very important to have an autoresponder when you get to that point in your business, no matter which service you use. You want to have lists! :)

Hi Admin2,

I am using it currently though for only about 5 days. It was really easy to set up it takes about an hour to really sit down and learn it. I am having good success so far but I haven't reached the limit yet. I believe it is 19 a month after you reach 100 people on your list. The cool thing is that you have the choice to either keep the free account or upgrade.

I am still trying to figure out how to get an opt in box on squidoo and wordpress. I have seen a few others with them but i cant figure it out as of yet.

Anyone have experience with setting a opt in box in any of the above mentioned services?

Thanks a bunch.

TSF

In wordpress try go to --- appearance --- widgets --- and then choose were you want the widgets to be on your site, on my screen the widgets i use is out to the right, drag and drop the widgets and insert some text, images or code, etc.

TSF ~ That link that Forum Admin 2 gave should work for you!

I have an opt in form on a few of my lenses... I will have to get permission to give away the link that I have... but I can PM you if I can give it...

I have been using Aweber, but I have not had much luck. So far, only two people have signed in to the list, and neither one has answered the conformation email. I'm getting visitors, but no one is even entering their information much less buying. Is there a good way to get visitors to enter their information other than offering a free report?

You can set up another landing page and have them opt in for another PLR report/product which you can get from like a Master Resale Rights or an ebook, or something, and then you can always come up with your own! :)

I have read a lot of Auto responders and list buildings and it seems very good :) I think more and more people will do this because it is easy and profitable when you get many people to subscribe to your list. My goal is to build a list from now and 2 month forward :)

This is always a great plan! Once your list is built, provide them with valuable information and vital resources :)

List building takes time. You have to have an enticing call to action for anyone to either click through or sign up with your opt in. Also, your forum signatures in all the forums should be simple and to the point - and attention getting. :)
