RSS Feeds - What are they and how to apply them!

I've read many things about RSS (Really Simple Syndication) feeds and realize that they can be key to an online business but really don't know how to use them. For instance, I would like to add Squidoo RSS feeds to Wordpress and Blogger, Ezine? (if I can) and then Wordpress etc. RSS feeds to Squidoo...and anything else that would benefit my sites but don't know the actual HOW of doing it.

Already looked at Squidoo help center, and Wordpress as well. I'm sure it's there but really would like to save some time (already spent an hour searching). I can't find anything that says, go here, click there!

Anyone proficient at RSS feeds, how to do it and the best use for them?

If you find a good way to use them, post a link to the lens or blog that you're using them on. I think I know what they are; I just don't know a good way to use them.

You basically have 2 options, there is the web based readers or the desk top readers. Here is a link that might explain this more to help you. I personally like the google reader the best :)
