I want to make money online because I was layed off on March 6, 2009 after working in HR for 12 years!! I don't want to find myself in this position again and I want to take my life into my own hands! And of course I want more time for my family. The thought of cleaning the house through out the day in between my new online biz, taking my son to school and being able to pick him up, being able to get him to his sports without the rush, taking a day off with out feeling guilty to care for my son when he is sick, saving money on gas, saving money on before and after care for my son, saving money on all the clothes and shoes for the office, go to the doctor or dentist without getting behind on the regular job or being made to feel guilty, being able to volunteer at my son's school or meet him for lunch and no more work place politics ALL sounds wonderful to me! OMG! The list goes on!! I want a more flexible schedule to work when I want and when I can. Oh yeah, I also have discovered Parrots and how amazing they are and I want one! With my schedule before of being away from home 12 hours a day that would have never been possible! I look forward to all of the information I am sure I will find here! ;)

It's great to see you in this forum! That is quite a list you have there, but I agree with you... those are all great reasons to want to work from home and to make money online.
Again, welcome! Best of luck to you!

kwill33710,
Just wanted to say hello. I am actually a Recruiter by day, but really love Internet marketing. I noticed you said you were in HR. Ever thought of using the knowledge you have gained in HR the last 12 years to start a blog and then eventually you could develop some products to sell?
Only reason I mention it is because I am currently working on my blog that is dedicated to people in career transition. It is pretty easy for me to write posts because I have been able to gain alot of knowledge on resumes, interviewing, etc.
Would love any insight that you might have about my blog: www.jonathanmilligan (http://www.jonathanmilligan). I am halfway through writing an eBook for how to develop a network online to find a job using the social networking site LinkedIn www.linkedin (http://www.linkedin). I have collected about 1000 email addresses of candidates I have worked with over the last 8 years and plan on doing a blast email to promote selling the ebook using Paypal. Also, thinking of setting up another Paypal button to write resumes which you can make ($50-250 each). I bet with your HR background you might be able to do that as well.
Just some thoughts...

Hi kwill33710,
Welcome to the forum! I seems like everyone around me is getting laid off these days it is really a testimony of the state of the economy. With My day job I actually work with a lot of HR departments to implement cost saving Online benefits enrollment software. Anyway, I find that working online is so much more rewarding on a personal level. This is great work I wish you the best!
