Hi, I'm Jeremy, new to affiliate marketing. I have a few questions for the 'veterans' or people who've been in the game for a while.
Right now I have a website to promote 3 make money products. When you first started, did you use just 1 website and link to it from articles, forums, blogs, etc... OR did you have multiple websites with multiple products?
Eventually I would like to promote more than just 3 products from Clickbank, and I'm just wondering what the best strategies are. Do you incorporate them all into one website or add multiple ones.
Thanks for the help!
Jeremy

Just an opinion of course, but it is easier to promote one or two products until you have set up a full campaign on them and really have a good feeling and idea of how things work and what you have to do.
If you are just starting out, it is best to become an expert in the basics and then things will grow from there - you will pick up more products, more campaigns, and more knowledge.
Good luck! :)

If you have just the one website, you can promote all 3 of your products as you are learning the basics of affiliate marketing. It is best to start small and build up otherwise you may end up overwhelmed :)

Along the way you will find ideas and experiences that people use, which is why forums are so great - you can make your own decisions about which direction you want to go with your campaigns and your business. :)

When I started I thought the same way you do now. I also got 3 products in my free website to promote but I started to look for other products in Clickbank. That wasn't so good. I got overwhelmed and I gor tired about it . So my suggestion is to promote your 3 products and when you are making money with that you can promote more products :) Good luck !

It is so easy to fall into that trap of wanting to start big MMM3, but without the knowledge to back you up in your marketing, it can soon end in confusion and losing the main idea of how it works.
Thank you for sharing what has been working for you, this will help other members who have also started out with to many products. :)

You got your website up and running so the hardest part is done. Now all you have to do is promote your products using different angles and ideas. Writing more articles would be a good suggestion. Do a keyword search and find different words relating to your products and write an article around that keyword. The more articles you write the more exposure you'll get and make sure you add links back to your website in every article. Focus on this and as you start seeing results then branch out and find other products to promote and duplicate what you did. Yes it will require hard work but it's worth it! No one ever said that running a business would be a walk in the park but the rewards for blood, sweat and tears is invaluable. Hope this helps.

Great response Destani! As you mentioned, it does take time to build your business, but the rewards are success for all that hard work. Building the foundation is the hard part, everything else will fall into place as you get into a routine for promoting your products.:)

Good advise destani. If I could do one thing, it would be to create and post more articles. I keep getting distracted when I see people making money in various other niches and I want to become involved also. I'll remember to stay focused on one before branching out.

It is easy to see what everyone else is doing and want to get involved, and it is not always a bad thing. You can learn many new techniques that when applying to your own business can be very profitable. Just make sure that you are comfortable with branching out - remember you can always go back to it at a later date if need be as well. :)

Jeremy,
It is so easy to fall into the trap of wanting to promote as many good products as you can. The difficulties of doing this is getting overwhelmed when you are learning something new at the same time.
Take note of the product and come back to it after you have finished the marketing of the products you have already started. By then you will be more comfortable in your marketing techniques that adding 1-2 more products will be a breeze to promote. :)

I fell into this trap myself. I was trying to sell to much without taking the time to learn what I should be doing. Now I have picked two related products and I am try to learn the marketing techniques. I hope that this time I will have better luck,

Just stay focused JB! Once you learn the techniques you will find that it is easy to promote other products. Its the getting started and and the understanding that is the most difficult. Come back in and ask questions if you need further explanations:)

Becoming an expert at each stage of the game is very important. You want to know as much as you can in order to gain the most success. Learn the basics well and then slowly add more advanced techniques and you will do very well. :)

Yeah I'm in the process of building my foundation right now. It is a lot of hard work especially since I didn't know how to do any of this stuff to begin with. I can't wait until I finish everything, learn how it all works, so that my next campaign will feel like a breeze.

I agree it is good to start with one website and promote the heck out of it until you can get to the place where it can consitanly make money without you having to do much work on the backend. I have also found that in the Make Money Online Niche, One product per squidoo lens or blogger blog etc works best for me.

I agree TSF! It can become overwhelming to your reader when they may have originally just came to find more information of the one product :)

Sometimes that is best to promote just a couple of products in one niche until you can really get a handle on the learning aspect as well as getting those sales coming in. This way you stay focused as much as possible and then add other things later. :)

I would always provide a link back to your website. The more backlinks you get, the higher it will rank with the search engines.
That said, you can always promote other products that are not on your website. You just have to put in a little thought. For instance, Ezine will not let you post an affiliate link, so at first it seems like you should only write articles about products on your website. However, you can get around it by starting a blog about the program you want to promote and then link to that from Ezine. But even if you do that, always link to your website too.

Hi Jeremy,
By joining free social networks (e.g. Facebook, Twitter) and creating a free blog (I like to use Blogger) you can build up a following & promote as many products as you like. It's best to limit each blog to a particular type of product though. Above all - enjoy what you do, believe in your product(s) and promote how it will help people. Hope this helps.
