Hi All,
I spent some time on Ezine the other day actually reading some articles and I think this is really simple but it warrants mentioning. When you are writing articles write in bite sized paragraphs that are separated by sub headings. It is much easier to keep interested when you are not bombarded with huge paragraphs. So keep your paragraphs to thought sized chunks and your readership and click through rates will grow!

This is great advice. It makes it quite a bit easier for a visitor to skim through the information provided :)

I find that most people scan rather than read everything that see. Smaller chunks caters to this.

Yeah I have learned alot from ezine. I am was thankful for all the added advice about how to write them. I think I have tried them all, bullets, small paragraphs, QA's, topic format, etc.
It takes a while to find what really works for you ;)

Once you find your own style of writing jpiper, your articles will run smooth. There is so many different ways. Before you get to the writing, go to ezine and look at how others write their articles. This will also give you an added idea of how they should look :)

If you think about it - most people just scan through they don't read everything. Very important to keep the "scanner" interested. :D

So true #1. Its imperative to grab your reader within the 1st paragraph. This is where your reader will decide to stay or leave. Make it exciting, ask a couple of questions you feel that reader may be looking for.:)

Very true, lah (I think I lived in Singapore for too long, lol)! Headlines over paragraphs can be great catchers.

I totally agree. I can't stand reading long paragraphs. I hadn't thought of the subheading idea though, which is great!
Thanks for sharing this tip!
