I have been sharing this information and have been amazed with how many people it has helped. I thought I would post it here also for the ones who experience brain lock down when writing articles. This is what I use and it has worked great on preventing writer's block.
Creating articles
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Many affiliate marketers start off or include submitting articles to get traffic to their sites or product. I had a problem trying to create articles and I have come across several people who are having the same problem. I would like to share with you the things I use to mulitply my number of articles without using new content.
I have found that writing articles in sets have made it easier and faster to produce good quality articles. Here is how it is done.
1. Write articles sets by topic or sub-topic
We will use racquetball to illustrate. Write 2 articles on racquetball nutrition. 4 articles that go into detail about each color of the ball and the meaning of those colors and a 10 pack of articles on forehand and backhand drills.
2. Accidental article set
It happens. You are writing a good article with good content and before you know it you have an article that is 800 to 1000 words long. Don't delete the work you have already done, half the article and give the second half a new title.
3. Article sets based on customer FAQ's
Look up the topic you are writing about and learn the frequently asked questions. Tune into them, group them by topic and hammer out some articles. If you have 7 FAQ's then you have great content to make 7 articles.
4. Article sets by style of writing
Make one article using bullet points, make an article that has lists, one with a Q&A approch, and one that is conversational or discussion of issues. Each type of writing is best done in sets of the same style.
There are other ways to produce more articles like this but if I post them all they would a mile long. I have found this helpful to me and hopefully this will help some of you who are struggling to create articles.

Hey angelray,
Writing articles will definitely get easier as time goes on. It is just one of those things that takes a bit of practice and then next thing you know you can write a solid article in 15 mins.

Yes, TSF is correct. Practice make perfect. It use to take me all day to write one article and I thought writing more was impossible. But you pick up tips here and there and things start running smoothly after you get a few under your belt. :)

I am so glad to read that it will get easier in time. Also nice to know I am not the only one having trouble with articles. Feel like I'm back in school in English sometimes.

I do think that is the hard part. Trying to find your groove so to speak. Sometimes it is easy for a person to forget about the simple things with so much information to learn.

Plus you can always go through your old articles and get some ideas to rewrite them and spruce them up. This is sometimes fun to see how much you have learned since then. :)

Thanks for all the great tips.....and encouragement. I never enjoyed writting and the article writting has been a struggle. I really liked the FAQ idea for creating articles as you already know it will be relevant to readers. :-)

I tend to use the FAQ's quite a bit, expecially if I am at a loss for producing another article. You can normally write at least 2 articles from this technique:)

Just add more research into what others are saying about the topic. You will normally come across other articles with members of a product who provide more added information that you can use. :)

It's good to know that I'm not the only one with the same problem. (It seems like I have a ton!) At this point I have a "good" (not sure if that is an appropriate term for my stuff yet) article out in about an hour +, that's down from a few hours. I've found it helpful for me to write freely from my research first and then let it set overnight and rewrite or proof the next day. I'm just never happy with it unless I take a break.
And...if you look at my first articles...you would agree. They were horrible!
These are great tips that I copied to my article file. Always good to get new perspectives.
Thanks

Rosa,
That is a good way to approach it. Sometimes you have to look at things with a fresh set of eyes - taking breaks are very important. Sitting behind a computer for long periods of time is not good for anyone. :)

I used to be a total perfectionist in my writing. I couldn't send an email without proofreading it and rewriting it several times. Now I'm learning that my articles don't have to be pulitzer prize winning creations. They just have to be easy to read and provide some good information. That has really cut down my writing time.

That is very true, Andy. It makes it so much easier to write without the pressure. You are correct in proofreading your work before hand, if there are errors, it could turn off the reader and your potential buyer.
Good luck! :)

Just let it flow naturally. Make sure your content is full of information and you are good to go. If there are spelling errors, most of the time your spelling checker will pick them up. There are a words however, when dealing with internet marketing that the checker can not identify. Add these to its dictionary for the next time you use it. For example, "squidoo". :)

There's an online course that's free called "Bum Marketing." It has some pretty lofty goals regarding article writing; you may not get to the point where you can write as many articles as they recommend in that course, but it does have some tips for increasing the speed for writing articles.

Tips on Article Title Writing
I found these tips for article title writing the other day and thought they might help others in the article marketing business:
When writing articles, always write your title first. Your title will help direct the information delivered in the text of the article.
Study titles written by other authors; not just online, but in newspapers and magazines. Which titles grab your eye? Why did it grab your attention?
If you study the titles of other and know why they work, you will have done your homework well. Borrow the style of those titles for your articles.
Title Styles:
How To titles
How to titles promise answers.
How to titles always work in article marketing.
Nearly all people searching the web are searching for helpful information about a particular subject.
How to titles don't give people more to do in their busy lives, but they will offer tips, tricks, and methods that will make their busy lives more managable. Your How To article needs to inform and emotionally engage the reader and make them feel better by having found the information they desperately needed at the moment.
Structure of a How To title: How to (mundane task) That (rewarding benefit)
Examples: How to Save Money and Retire Rich
How to Get a Mortgage That Saves You Money
How to Select a Bed That Gives You a Good Night's Rest
List titles
List titles/articles build your authority as an online marketer.
List titles offer a specific promise to the reader.
List articles prompt action from the reader.
List articles list a number of reasons, secrets, tips, methods, types, etc.
List titles/articles are written for a specific target market and always work to get results.
The reader is looking for the specific information you have written about.
Structure of a List title: (specific number) Ways to (benefit to reader)
Examples:
"Five Familiare Marketing Methods Used to Attract More People"
"10 Ways to Make Money Online"
"101 Free Marketing Methods Online"
Testimonial Titles
The testimonial title is structured to relate a personal story.
Structure of a Testimonial title: How (something) Made Me (something).
Example:
"How Article Marketing Changed My Life"
"How a Foolish Whim Made Me a Millionaire"
"How a Date Gone Bad Made Me Stronger"
The key is to make the first something contrast with the second.
Question Titles
The question title attracts the curiosity of the reader. The question is the hook and can be subtle or bold in its approach. The body of the article is information that will benefit the specific question being posed.
Structure of a Question title: Are You (something)?
The something usually addresses a specific type of person or a specific type of problem that is in need of a solution.
Examples:
"Are You Tired of Failing at MLM?"
"Are You a Super Blogger Yet?
"Are You Tired of Boring Weekends?"
Try some of these different approaches to article title writing to see if they will multiply the responses to your articles. They are as old as the art of writing and have been tried and tested by generations; they are timeless tools to get your articles read and clicked through.
